Christians are no strangers to persecution. In fact, Christians remain one of the most persecuted religious groups in the world. Violent attacks by their persecutors have affected families and churches, leaving many Christians without spouses, parents, children and homes.

What can you do?

Pray!

As our brothers and sisters in Christ endure such persecution, remaining faithful believers and continuing to follow and serve Christ, you can stand with them through prayer.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 12:26 that as a body of Christ,

If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. (1 Corinthians 12:26 ESV)

So join me in praying for those persecuted for their faith, according to Matthew 18:19, “if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Let us pray that they would:

  • Experience God’s presence and know that He is with them.
  • Be divinely protected as they witness for Christ.
  • See God touch their persecutors hearts to accept Christ into their hearts.
