Life is a journey. This year is a journey!
We have come under the canopy of God’s special grace to align prophetically for this pivotal month of January.
The Holy Spirit by God’s Word declared this year as the year of His glory. So, the Holy Spirit has declared this season to be a time of new beginning. I hear in my spirit that God is up to something in your life.
Say, “God is up to something new in my life.”
This is your season of a new dawn. Your season of a fresh start. Your season of a new beginning.
You know, whether it is the birth of new relationship, the birth of a new business, or the birth of whatever it might be that is coming your way or coming your life, God’s mercies are new every morning.
It maybe a new season of new level of joy, peace, fresh anointing, opportunity, or new level of horizon. I know that something new must happen in your life this season, in the name of Jesus.
You see, life is full of new beginnings because sometimes we fail, and sometimes we have to start all over again. Sometimes we have to start again by going back to the drawing table. A fresh start. A new beginning. That is why God is so merciful.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentation 3:22-23, NIV)
Think about this: Every day is a new day, every week is a new week, and every season brings new opportunities…
The greatest new beginning is when you become born again. That is a new beginning, when you accept Jesus Christ into your life.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)
The new season is here. The new season has come!
How many of you want some fresh start in your life?
Maybe you just want to start fresh now. Maybe you have messed up some weight in your life, you just need a fresh start. God says He is giving you a fresh start. He is giving you a new beginning but every time He gives us new beginnings, He never leaves us without instruction. God always gives us directives for fresh touch. He always gives us things that we need to know, things that we must oblige to, how to align ourselves with God, with His purpose, so we can experience everything He has for us in this new season.
As we enter into January, there are prophetic directives that you must embrace to ensure that you align yourself with God’s divine plan. If you are not aligned with God’s divine plan, you may miss out on what He has in store for us.
So, there are God’s directives for this new season, this new beginning and this new purpose. There are God’s instruction for where you are going.

There are three (3) prophetic keys for embracing new beginnings.
- Forget the past and step into the new.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-19, NIV)
This new season is a season to release past disappointments, past failures, and even past successes that might hinder your forward movement.
Say “I am going forward. I am going higher.”
To fully embrace your new beginning, no matter what it might be, you must let go of the past because to move forward in the new thing that God has for us, you need to release the baggage of the past.
I know the past sometimes can be a heavy weight that holds you down. Now, it is not just about forgetting the things of the past but letting go of past hurts, past failures, and past regrets that keeps you from moving forward because every time you look back, you can never make progress in the way that you should. It is like driving on a highway and your eyes is focused on the rear view mirror of your car. You will not go too far. You may crash, and that is why you must make an effort not to hang around people that are always looking back. You may crash with them.
Don’t hang out with people who are always complaining about what they are going through. By doing that, you never go forward. God does not want you to stay where you are, but He does not want you to dwell on the past either. The past is past, you cannot change it.
How many of you can change your past?
It has already happened. Stop crying over spilled milk. Milk another cow. It is gone, you have lost it. So what is the problem? Start over again. Fresh start, new beginning. You miss that opportunity, start again. Maybe you missed it twice, it is okay. Do it again.
2. Press forward in faith.
Many time we are too lazy to believe God. Many of us have more faith in the devil than faith in God because when you talk about what the devil is doing, you are more passionate. “What he did to me”, “how he did this, how he did that”, “how he is after my home and my children”, and there is so much passion. I mean, you believe in the devil more than you believe in God’s promises. When you live your life like that, you are living a life of doubt, and without faith, you cannot go forward even with this new beginning.
You just have to believe. Faith is nonsense. Faith does not make sense. Faith does not add up. If it make sense, it is not faith. We walked by faith and not by sight. You do not walk by your senses. If you are moved by your senses, you are in the arena of doubt.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. (Philippians 3:13, NIV)
Either you forget the past or keep going to the future. Stop looking at those who disappointed you. Stop checking them up on Facebook. Stop checking on the status of those that left your life. You are spending three hours checking, their new pictures, their outfit and what they are doing. You should use those three hours to focus on where you are going. Every time you keep looking back, checking on them, you are not making progress.
Press forward, forgetting the past. I know sometimes it can be difficult because you want to check to see if they are doing better than you, as if that will stop anything. It only frustrates you if they are doing better. If you keep looking at your enemy who is doing better, who will cry? You or them? Who will be angry? You or them. It is you. Don’t waste your time. Focus on where you are going.
Say “I’m going higher.”
Those boys or girls who have left your life, leave them alone. Stop chasing after that girl or after that man who have left you. Leave them alone. Whatever it might be, that have brought you heartache in your heart, leave them alone and move forward because you must understand, whoever has been destined for your journey will be with you. Whoever is not supposed to be with you, no matter how you try – Give them everything -, they will still leave you. Sometimes not because you did something bad, but because their season has expired and they are not qualified to go to your next season.
Stop expecting from people that have left you. “But they promised me they will never leave me”. Forget that promise. Stop talking, start doing. Talk is cheap, action is preferred. You must not let people that have left your life make you be frustrated.
There are some people who are:
- Scaffolds: They are just there to help you to build. When your time has expired, they break down. They are not part of your building. They help you to get to certain level, then they collapse and move on.
- Signpost or signboard: Signpost is not part of the building but they direct people to your building. They are just there. They are not involved but they are there.
- Bricks: Bricks are the dry wall. They are part of the building.
You know, pressing forward is an ongoing journey. It is not one-time you decide you are going forward, then you stop. It is every day.
Say “I am going forward. No matter what, I am pressing forward in faith, in the name of Jesus.”
See, the journey may be difficult and you may face challenges but the glory is in persistence and perseverance. The journey of life does not always come rosy but when you persist, that is where the glory manifest. It is when you are going to the grinding that you come out polished. Your life either grinds you into a dust or polishes you into a precious stone. As you remain focused and press forward towards your goal, in your new beginning, you become polished like gold.
Every setback becomes a set up for your comeback. It is not over until you win. You have been destined to win, and there is nothing the devil can do about it. Your set back does not make you sit back, it make you stand out because every obstacle is a launching pad to your next level.
Some of you are afraid of obstacles. Say, “Devil, bring it on.”
Every problem you overcome is a requirement for the next level and as you start a new beginning, you are going higher.
As we press forward, do not allow the things that happen this year make you sit back. That is why God say it is a new beginning for you and the glory must manifest in you.
Do what you have to do because God has a plan for your life. It is not a time to sit still but to press towards the glorious promises of God. Keep pressing. God does not fail, He is not a man to fail or to lie. He will do what He says if you dare believe it. If you do not see it, it is because you quit too soon. If you stay in there, you will see the hand of God.
The new beginning requires active faith and intentional forward movement. You have to believe. Have active faith that what God wants to do in your life will come to pass and no devil can stop it.
It may look impossible, but there is nothing impossible with God if you dare to believe and do not think that it is in your power but in the ability of God.
3. Live as a new creation with purpose.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)
Being a new creation means more than a fresh start. It means living with purpose and working in alignment with God’s plan.
Say, “I am a new creation. I am a new creature. I am a brand new man.”
You have to believe who you are. Don’t let your life circumstances define you. You are a new creature. You are a brand-new specie. You have no past.
Every step you take should reflect God’s glory. New beginning is not just about change, it is about stepping into God’s divine reality for your life. You are stepping into God’s divine reality. God does not just give you a new beginning, He works with you hand in hand as you trust him.
This month of January, God is inviting us to experience His glory in three fresh ways:
- Spiritual growth.
- Personal life.
- Purpose
As we have entered into this month of January 2025, embrace the truth that your new beginning is here, and the glory of God is being revealed in your life. Don’t miss the opportunity God is placing before you. Position yourself and get ready to experience the goodness of God this year.
This month will be your best month ever!

We hereby declare and decree that the month of January, 2025 is our month of NEW BEGINNINGS!
New beginning in your life, business, and your family. Beginning of joy, relationship, peace and new businesses. New beginning is your portion.
Let us celebrate!
This month is my month of new beginning.
“I will step forward, forget the past, and walk in the glory of God and purpose for my life, in the name of Jesus.”
You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28, NKJV)
I am about to declare some things over your life right now for this month of January. If you believe it, it will manifest.
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (2 Chronicles 20:20, KJV)
As you believe every word about to be released into your life as a prophet of God, it will manifest in your life, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that today marks a new beginning in your life in the name of Jesus. The old has passed away and the new has come. You are stepping into the fullness of God’s purpose for your life, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare God’s direction to lead you in every step that you take. God’s wisdom will guide you into every new opportunity and fresh experience, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that your mind is being transformed, your heart is being renewed, and your spirit is being revived, in the name of Jesus. No longer will you be bound by past failures, but you are going to walk boldly. You are going to walk confidently into the greatness God has prepared for you, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that this new season will be filled with God’s abundance. He is opening doors of favor, bringing opportunities that will cause your life to flourish in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare, you are strong in the land, and you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You will overcome every challenge in this new season with the strength that comes from the grace of God, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that your eyes are open to see the new opportunities. And strategies that God have set before you. You are working in new vision and new purpose in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that God’s favor surrounds you. Every obstacle is being removed, and breakthroughs are happening in every area of your life, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare all brokenness is being healed. Relationships are restored. Your body, your mind, and your spirit are made whole by the power of God, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that you will boldly advance God’s kingdom. Your action will bring glory to God, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that God’s power is at work in you, and it will cause you to align according to His perfect will and no weapon formed against you shall prosper, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that you walk in boldness knowing that God has equipped you for every good work. You will not shrink back from God’s calling upon your life, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare, you will experience new level of joy and new level of peace. The joy of the Lord will be your strength, and peace would reign in your heart and in your life, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that everything God has in store for you will manifest in your life this season, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that ideas for new business strategies to excel in your life calling will be readily available to you, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that you will be a formidable force in whatever place God has positioned you, in the name of Jesus.
- I decree and declare that in this new season, you will be a terror to the camp of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
As I have decreed, so shall it be.
Favor is chasing after you. Business ideas are coming to you. Relationships are going better. New friendships that will be destiny helpers are coming your way, in the name of Jesus
Whatever has been stolen from you, is hereby returned to you, in the name of Jesus. Whatever you have lost in the last season, you get in double for your trouble. I say you get double for your trouble, in the name of Jesus.
Your head is blessed. Your life is blessed. There is oil on your head, increase in your hands, and speed in your legs. This month and beyond, you would walk and move with the speed of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus.
The life of sluggishness is over. This month and beyond, whatever you put your hand to do, shall prosper. If you start a new adventure, it will prosper. If you start a new business, it will prosper. New relationship? It will prosper. Everything you touch will prosper, in the name of Jesus.
This new beginning will be evident to all that know you. Your profiting this new season shall be evident to all. There shall no more be obscurity in your life. You shall experience prominence in the name of Jesus.
As I have decreed, so shall it be. As I have spoken, so shall it be, in the name of Jesus.
